2022 Milestones

Approval of the new corporate purpose: challenging the present to make the future possible.
Hiring 94% of local suppliers.
Obtained UNE 19601 and ISO 37001 certifications for the Criminal Compliance and Anti-Bribery Management System in Spain.
Obtained UNE 19601 for Tax Compliance and creation of the Tax Compliance Body.
Development of the first bidirectional electric vehicle charging network to operate in Spain: "Vehicle to Grid" (V2G) innovation project.

Sustainable transformational innovation

Innovation is ACCIONA Energía’s structural axis and allows the company to lead the renewable energy sector by facing the challenges set by sustainability, turning them into opportunities to generate more efficient and productive operational solutions with a positive impact on each project.

Energy innovation

In 2022, ACCIONA Energía reached an innovation figure of 103.5 million euros, 13% higher than the previous year.

The portfolio now includes 70 projects, of which 41 are research projects and 29 innovation projects. The company has carried out one project outside Spain worth €6.6 million, which represents 6% of the total innovation figure reported.

Accordingly, the company has a Quality Policy whose principles include ensuring the health and safety of its customers and users. In terms of quality management, the company has obtained ISO 9001 certification for all activities with customers.

Ongoing projects

ACCIONA’S CHARGING NETWORK

ACCIONA Energía aims to create an ecosystem that makes electric mobility in the Iberian Peninsula easier. During 2022, agreements were closed and several electric vehicle charging points were installed, which are now operating in different parts of Spain.

The number of ACCIONA’S CHARGING NETWORK (own charging network) registered users in the platform and app increased by 14,733 users in 2022, bringing the total number to 26,579. 76% of the 6,425 charges carried out during the year were satisfactory.

No-go suppliers

Failure to comply with the no-go minimum requirements means that a supplier cannot be hired until it clarifies its situation. ACCIONA Energía has met the target for 2022 of 0% general purchase orders to companies with the following non-compliances:

Supplier with significant ethics and integrity risks: sanctioned in international lists, presenting serious evidence of corruption, fraud, or money laundering.
Strategic suppliers in high-risk countries that have not been audited or, having been audited, present one or more serious non-conformities that have not yet been resolved.
Demonstrated non-compliance with the United Nations Global Compact.
Economic solvency risk (starting from a contract value of €1M).
Social security or tax debts.
Companies penalized for their performance evaluation in previous activities or for serious deficiencies detected in audits and not resolved.
